'Direct3D' or 'D3D' Errors

Direct3D Acceleration is a DirectX video card option. 'Direct 3D' and 'D3D' errors are a result from a conflict with your video card. To resolve these errors, follow these steps:

 

  1. Open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.

  2. Verify that you meet all requirements for the game, especially the video card requirements as this error relates to a video option.

  3. On the Display tab, make sure that Direct3D Acceleration is set to Enabled.

    1. Click the Enable button if it is set to Disabled.

    2. If Direct3D is N/A then you will need to contact your system or video card manufacturer to correct this issue.

  1. Make sure you have the latest manufacturer approved video card drivers.
